When he tried to retrieve it, he lost his footing and fell roughly 650 feet down the mountainside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency crews responded quickly, even deploying a helicopter to reach the remote area. Despite their efforts, Andrea was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the days before the accident, Andrea had been sharing glimpses of their hike on social media.
