He was guessing the name of Leavitt\u2019s baby while the press secretary was seated beside the first couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her absence, the White House plans a rotation of administration officials to brief reporters. Secretary of State Marco Rubio took the initial turn Tuesday ahead of his trip to Vatican City and Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leavitt was chief spokesperson for the Trump 2024 campaign and returned to the job just four days after giving birth to her son.
